This week S1 are revising the topic of Bienvenidos in preparation for a Reading and a Writing assessment which will take place over the next 2 weeks. Teachers will inform their individual classes of the dates for the assessments. Revision material can be found in Bienvenidos folder on Teams as well as going over class notes in jotters.

This week we are working on the topic of relationships and friends. We will also be revising the future tense. All resources can be accessed via Teams.

This week National 5 classes will be beginning the unit of work on the topic of Learning. Pupils should work through the beginning of the Learning PowerPoint on Teams and ensure they are noting all new vocabulary (using wordreference.com to find the meaning). Anyone who hasn’t completed their AVU Talking should also ensure that they are prepared to complete it as soon as possible.

This week S1 are learning vocabulary to describe what there is in the classroom. Powerpoint and additional resources are on Teams in “Bienvenidos” folder.

Over the next two weeks S2 should be working on describing the rooms which they have in their house. Powerpoint and additional resources are on Teams in “Vivimos en Europa” folder.

S3 don’t come to the Modern Languages department this week. If pupils are working on Spanish at home they should revise the topic Me Presento in preparation for an end of unit speaking assessment which will take place in the coming weeks.

This week we are going to have a first look at Reading and Listening Past Papers. If working from home please access SQA website and have a look at the Past Papers available there. We will also be completing the Directed Writing Sentence Practice Booklet and completing Scenario 1 in the Directed Writing Practice Booklet, both of which are available on Teams.

This week classes are finishing off AVU talking assessments. These should be completed this week with the view of starting new topic of Learning after the October break.

This week S3 are coming to the end of the Me Presento unit, discussing their house and surrounding area. S3 should ensure they have completed all tasks in the Me Presento PowerPoint and start to revise full topic in preparation for a Speaking assessment after the October break.

This week S2 are describing what type of house they live in and the rooms they have in their house. Pupils should work through the appropriate slides on the Donde Vives Powerpoint on Teams (Vivimos en Europa folder).
