This week we will be working on “Jekyll & Hyde”.  On Monday students can work on the materials for chapter 5 and ensue they have completed all the review exercises.  On Tuesday I plan to read chapter 6 with students and allow for questions and  discussion as we go.  On Thursday there is an eSgoil tutorial on the Reading exam at 10am, students should take part in this tutorial (unless they have an online lesson at this point or cannot access eSgoil) on this important part of the exam.   This tutorial will replace any classwork for Thursday.

I have set up a meeting in MS Teams in my channel for each of the double periods to allow students to come on and ask questions and seek any help they may need. Students should keep cameras off.

As a faculty we are looking forward to starting online learning on Monday 11th January.  We have worked hard to maximise learning and teaching during this time.

Each week the blog will contain an overview of what each class will be working on.  More detailed information can be found in the individual MS Team.  Teachers are available via their Glow email if pupils have questions or need support.  Work should be uploaded and sent to teachers as requested to allow for feedback.

S1 will continue to work on “Spit Nolan” this week.  Materials are available in MS Teams and work should be undertaken in purple jotters, picking up where they left up before the October break.

Teachers will post work on their own channels.

This week S3 are starting a new unit of wrk on advertising.  All of the materials have been posted on MS Teams.  Mr Kedra’s class should be on S3 Team 2, all other classes are MS Team S3 Team One.  work should be undertaken in pink jotters.

Please see MS Teams for the instructions for this week’s work.  Please be mindful of the announcemnts as classes 2.1-24 are not in English as much this week as classes 2.5-27.

Details for Literacy on Wednesday for classes 2.5-2.7 will be posted nearer the time.

As this week is the half-term holiday there will be no work posted in MS Teams.  We hope everyon has a safe holiday and gets a chance to relax and do what makes them happy !  I will post work again next week !

Finish the powerpoint on “A Hanging” this week then look at the 2019 paper which is on files and choose one critical essay question from the prose section.  You should then plan and write your critical essay and hand it to your teacher when you return.

S1 are working on the “Spit Nolan” block.  Any pupil who is self-isolating or sick should finish the powerpoint in their purple jotter over the course of this week.

This week we will have our first RUAE assessment.  If you are self-isolating/sick please ensure you speak to your teacher upon your return to arrange this.  We will also be starting “A Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde.”  You should start to read the novella which is in files.
