This week pupils will continue the homework from over the holidays which was to prepare for your talking exam. In addition to this, this week we are going to start working on the topic of Society. Go to Class Materials – Society – Booklet. Do Actividad 1,2,3,4 and send them to your teacher.
S2 Spanish
Pupils will be starting a new topic this week, “En la ciudad”. Pupils should complete the work on the PowerPoint (En el pueblo.pptx) and email work to your teacher.
S1 Spanish
Pupils are working on My Family this week. This can be found on Files – Class Materials – Mi familia – Family – Tienes hermanos ppt. Read slides 1 to 7. Copy slides 8,9,10 into your jotters.
Homework is also on Files – Class Materials – Mi familia- Family – Homework. Do slides 22 and 24 and send them to your teacher.
Higher English
Mrs Nelson’s class are continuing with work on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Pupils should complete the tasks on the PowerPoint which can be found on Teams.
Miss MacPhail’s class will be finishing work on Chapter 5. The PowerPoint we are using can be found in the files tab at the top of this channel. >Files>Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde>Jekyll and Hyde Miss MacPhail.

S5/6 Nat 5 English
Pupils will be continuing with work on Sailmaker. The PowerPoint can be found on Files>Class Materials> Sailmaker> Sailmaker- Online Learning. You can complete the work in your jotter/notepad and then upload a picture of your work or in a word document. The PDF of Sailmaker is also in the Sailmaker folder and you will need this to complete the tasks.
Nat 4 English
Pupils will be working on Added Value and will find the PowerPoint/PDF in the Files section. You will also be expected to submit finished tasks and submit these to your teacher for feedback.
S3 English
Pupils are working on a Persuasive Writing unit and the PowerPoint can be found in Files > Class Materials > Persuasive Writing. Pupils should complete the work in pink jotter, notepad or as a word document and upload it as a picture or file to the Assignments tab.
S1 English
This week pupils are working on creative writing and will be looking specifically at setting. They will be working from a PowerPoint that can be found in the files tab at the top of the General Page.
There are tasks to complete (they are clearly marked on the PowerPoint) and you can upload them via the assignments tab. Your teacher will mark these and give you some feedback.
S4 N5 English
Miss Murphy’s class are working on Chapter 4 of the Folio Skills books which is in files on MS Teams.
Miss MacPhail’s class are working through the chapter on Personal Reflective writing and then writing their essay which should be 1000 words or less.
Miss Sullivan’s class are revising “A Hanging” and preparing a critical essay which is due on Thursday 12th November.
Mrs McDonald’s class are writing a critical essay on “A Hanging”. Once completed, use the RUAE textbooks in Files on MS Teams and work through chapter 6 which starts on p48.
S2 English
Classes will finish writing their 500 words story this week on the theme of “Hidden Talents'” – materials are in files on MS Teams. Once stories have been written in RED jotters pupils should get a different coloured pen and start editing their stories. As well as reducing errors they should try to improve language by adding similes, metaphors, colour, the weather and using the five senses for description.
