Pupils are not timetabled for Spanish this week. If they have not yet completed last week’s work they should do so and send it to their teacher.
S1 Spanish
This week, S1 pupils are continuing work on the topic of Family and Pets. The PowerPoints and Worksheets to complete are available on MS Teams and pupils should send work to their teachers.
S1 French
This week, pupils are building up vocabulary on family and pets and learning two key verbs. They are also finishing with drawing pictures of pet animals and labelling them.
Mrs Nelson’s Higher English
Pupils will continue working through tasks on Chapter 8 of ‘The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’.
Miss Sullivan’s S4 N5 English
Pupils are starting tasks on Act 2 of Sailmaker.
Pupils should also be redrafting their Personal Reflective essays which is due 29/01/21.
S4 N4 English
Pupils will be working on the Added Value Unit. Pupils are asked to decide on a topic of their own choice. Once their topic is confirmed with the teacher, pupils are asked to use the internet to find five sources which should be entered in the chart.
Mr Kedra’s S3 English
Pupils are asked to prepare for a persuasive essay, “Knife Crime” to be written in the weeks to follow. This week, Pupils are asked to read provided articles of facts, statistics, and the seriousness of the crime. Pupils are asked to gather notes taken from the articles and prepare their essay plan.
Miss MacPhail’s S4 N5 English
Pupils are working on symbolism in Act 1 of Sailmaker before moving onto tasks on Act 2. All character and theme visualisers will also be updated.
Miss MacPhail’s Higher English
Pupils are working on chapter 6 of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and will be working on developing their analysis skills.
S3 English
This week, S3 have English once in week 2 and are researching environmental issues for their persuasive letter. They should access the links provided on the Powerpoint and use their laptop, tablet or mobile to collect facts and figures relevant to their chosen areas on issues affecting the environment. The Powerpoint can be found in the Persuasive Writing Folder in Class Materials on MS Teams.
