Pupils should write their reflective essay in their red writing jotter. They should then edit their writing using a different coloured pen and focusing on the following targets:
- Have I included interesting word choice ? (Identify any dull words and replace them with good examples of word choice)
- Have I included imagery ? (Add images [similes, metaphors, personification] wherever you can)
- Have I included description using the five senses ?
- Have I conveyed my thoughts and feelings as much as I can ?
