Our Interdisciplinary topic this term focused on The Farm.  The areas of the curriculum covered within this topic included Literacy, Numeracy, Technology, Health and Wellbeing and Expressive Arts.  The children had to sequence farm stories and create their own storyboards and use coins in the farm shop to pay for items.  The children also had the experience of using a key to create a scale drawing of a farm and they used their knowledge of the Eat Well Plate to make draw and write about their own healthy lunchbox.  In art the children used different materials to make paper plate farm animals and create a painting of the different seasons on the farm.  Role play opportunities included the farm shop, re-telling traditional farm stories in  the puppet theatre and acting out the story of the Little Red Hen.
