Digital Leaders are senior pupils with a passion for technology, who want to share their passion with others, and promote the use of all things digital throughout our school. Being a Digital Leader is a fantastic opportunity to take on responsibility, take on new skills, and develop and demonstrate leadership! We have 28 Digital Leaders in St Patrick’s Primary, who assist their peers and staff with aspects of technology in the classroom and during assemblies. They blog for the classes on our school website, lead assemblies on E-Safety, take part in Safer Internet Day activities every February and attend regular meetings led by Mrs Owens, our staff Digital Leader.
Digital leaders develop their:
- computing skills through attending regular meetings/training sessions on different aspects of technology;
- teamwork skills/working with others;
- problem solving skills;
- leadership skills;
- communication skills;
- self-confidence.
