Health Week

Health week isn’t complete without a trip to the play park! We accompanied rooms 1&2 to Dunbeth this morning, then explored our school grounds to complete an Orienteering challenge. Then David put us through our paces during some rugby drills, and we finished off the day with some Sumo wrestling!

A great start to Health Week! After a whole school Daily Mile, our newly trained P6 – and veteran P7 – Sports Leaders worked with Room 2 on some playground activities!

Mini Vinnies on tour!

2nd June 2026

Our Mini Vinnies group had a wonderful pilgrimage to Carfin Grotto today, where they had the chance to explore the grounds, get to know other Mini Vinnies from the cluster, and reflect on their journey of putting their faith into action. Huge thanks to Bridget Anne and everyone who made today such a positive, prayerful and spiritual experience for all!

Parklife!

28th May 2026

Primary 6 made the most of the beautiful weather and our fabulous local park to indulge in some Pupil-led PE this morning. Our students gave the gym equipment a try, played football, tennis and rounders, and – of course! – revisited the play park!

Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery

A fabulous day out for Rooms 12 and 13 at the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery! We spent the morning deepening our understanding of our ‘Artists’ topic, and the afternoon enjoying lunch and some relaxation time in Kelvingrove Park. Huge thanks to our volunteers, and to the staff at SPT Scotrail and the Glasgow Subway who helped make it happen!

STEM in the Park

19th May 2026

P7 had a fabulous time attending STEM in the Park in Hamilton today. This fabulous event was delivered by DYW LED, coordinated by the Army STEM Engagement Team, and supported by a wider employer network, including Scottish Power, SP Energy Networks, British Gas, Lantra Scotland, STORY Contracting Ltd, NHS Lanarkshire, First Steps Future Training, Stantec, DXC, Ashleigh Buildings, Network Rail & STEM Ambassadors Scotland. A huge thanks to all of the attendees, who showcased real‑world careers, roles and pathways, and inspired young people through practical, engaging experiences

P7 Retreat

15th May 2026

Our P7 took part in retreat on Friday, which was led by Stephanie and Claire from the Motherwell Diocese. The day gave them the chance to reflect on their experiences throughout primary school, and strengthen their faith as they prepare to take the next big step into high school.
