Rabbie Burns Celebrations

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Today in nursery we celebrated Rabbie Burns. We were asked to wear something tartan and Mrs O’Hear had made us a Scotish snack of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties washed down by a drink of our other national drink Irn Bru. We also got to taste two very Scottish sweets Tablet and Macaroon. We listened to some Scottish music and did some Scottish dancing.

P4/5 at the Glasgow Science Centre

On Friday our P4/5 astrologists were very excited to go on a trip to the Science Centre. The purpose of our visit was to view the Planetarium and learn more about our Space Topic.

We began our day by going around the centre, enjoying the various activities and learning experiences. We had a great time furthering our knowledge of all things Science!

After lunch we attended the Planetarium where we looked at the stars and learned about constellations. We then were able to go on a trip to Saturn! It was amazing to see the planet up close and it really felt like we were there!

Many thanks to Mrs Kustelak, Mrs Sharp and Mrs Cumming for coming with us.

We are looking forward to using our new Space knowledge in the rest of our topic lessons.

Friday 2nd February 2018

Primary One have been working very hard to learn to tell o’clock and half past. They have thoroughly enjoyed using class clocks to display their knowledge and make new times with their partners.

The children had great fun today at Purposeful Play where they sent letters to Katie Morag, make posters, role played emergency island services and served in the Post Office!

Another great week, Primary One!

Primary two – 26th January 2018

Primary two proved to be confident individuals when performing ‘To a Mouse’ and singing ‘Ye Canny Shove Yer Granny off a bus’ for Robert Burns week.  They are all upcoming little stars! They also had lots of fun on the Bouncy Castle. What a busy week!
