Primary 5/6 enjoyed welcoming Mrs Miller from the Scottish Parliament to St Kevins . We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our knowledge while taking part in a very interactive workshop . The session involved us using interactive clicker pads which were great fun to use.

We enjoyed taking part in a mock election . Each group had to elect a leader and create an exciting manifesto to share . After listening to each party leaders election promises everyone had to decide who they would like to vote for by completing an official ballot paper . The atmosphere was very tense while we were waiting for the election results and there was lots of cheering when the winning team was announced .

My favourite part of the afternoon was taking part in the debate on the motion ‘ Should the school week be over four days ‘ Sophie P6

‘I really enjoyed being part of the Animal Welfare party during the mock election ‘ Leah P6

Wednesday was St Andrews day celebrations and great fun was had by all !

We all enjoyed country dancing , playing with playground games from the past such as a whip and peerie and peever . We had some Irn Bru and shortbread too .

In  the afternoon we used our creative skills to design some wonderful kilts and finished off our very successful day with a beautiful whole school prayer service .
