This week our Primary Three athletes have enjoyed further developing their hockey skills.
We have been learning how to use what we have learned in previous weeks to play mini hockey games. As you can see we have all become very good at controlling and moving the ball with our sticks, and are becoming more confident in passing, tackling and defending.
We are also learning the importance of being team players, and know that it’s more important to try our best than to win every game.
In our topic lessons, this week we focused on animal habitats and classification.
We started by looking at where animals live and what kind of weather they need to survive. We then took part in a fun matching activity where we had to match the animals to their habitat.
We finished the week by exploring animal classification, and learned about the differences and similarities between mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, reptiles and insects.
We are looking forward to moving on to food chains next week.
