The big day finally arrived today! After 6 weeks of hard work looking after our fish eggs, watching them hatch and enter the alevin stage of development and then fry, it was time for us to set them free into the River Clyde.

The boys and girls were very excited as we set off for Strathclyde Park with our tubs of fish. We had a lovely day to go down to the river bank where Willie, our Clyde River Foundation Scientist, helped us to safely set our little finned friends free!

A huge thank you to Jannie Joe and Jannie Charlie who have been amazing over the past 6 weeks and have been doing the weekend ice pack changes to keep our water cold. We couldn’t have done it without you.
