St Brendan’s Nursery Class

The boys and girls at St Brendan’s Nursery Class have been learning about animals. We went on a visit to pets at home to look at different kinds of animals. We saw hamsters, guinea pigs, bearded dragons and snakes. We even got to hold a few of them!

Mrs McLaughlin brought in owls, rabbits and a chameleon to visit us. We enjoyed learning all about these animals and we got to feed and pet some of them.

We had lots of books in the story corner to help us learn more about animals. We learned different animal names, where they live and what they like to eat. We also had the opportunity to create animal pictures and patterns.

We enjoyed learning songs about animals. Some of our favourites were 5 Little Monkeys, Old MacDonald, 2 Little Dickie Birds and Alice the Camel.

Listen to the afternoon children singing Alice the Camel!
