P6a Plan Wednesday 22.04.20

Good morning boys and girls! Here is today’s plan. This is on Glow too. Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

LITERACY

1. Spelling: Group 1 – Here are your words: nuisance, sincerely, atmosphere,
definite and fulfil. Write your words twice and circle all the vowels in the
second column.
Group 2 – Here are your words: please, heal, tea and tease. Write them three
times and try to write at least three sentences with one of your words in them.
2. Reading – Log in to www.oxfordowl.co.uk. Here are the log in details again:
Username – stbartsprimary6a
Password – reading
Diamonds and Emeralds – Read your work from Monday and Tuesday. Use these
to write a summary of ‘Air Raid!’ today. Remember a summary only includes the
important events. Try to use paragraphs.
Rubies and Sapphires – Search for ‘The Personality Potion.’ Read pages 49 – 57.
The last chapter is called ‘The Truth’. Write a diary entry from Danny’s point of
view at the end of the story. He realises he got the part in the play all by
himself, how would he be feeling? Remember to include thoughts and feelings in
your diary entry.

NUMERACY

3. Mental Maths – Open the folder called ‘Mental Maths’ within the Numeracy
section of our Glow page. Complete ‘Wednesday’ of Mental Maths 20.04.20 Page
2.
4. Group 1 – Finish off any questions from ‘Division Questions 4-6 21.04.20′ in
the Numeracy section.
Group 2 – Finish off any questions from yesterday’s exercise – ‘Addition and
subtraction mixed examples 21.04.20′.
5. Play Sumdog if you have finished your tasks – I have set a new challenge for
today and tomorrow.

TOPIC

6. Research – Search for ‘The National Wallace Monument’. Look at the images
and read about it. I have added a file called ‘Wallace Monument’ in the Topic
area on Glow. Read about the monument. Let me know what you think is most
interesting about it.

Have a great day everyone!

P6b Daily Plan – Wednesday 22.04.20

Good morning everyone 🙂
I hope you are all well.
Use today as an opportunity to catch up on your work from the past two days. Remember just try your best to do what you can and I am here if you need anything.

I am also setting you a challenge today!
– Research some of the castles that we have discussed through our topic (Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Castle etc). Then design, sketch and build your own castle out of any materials you have around the house. You could use recycled plastic bottles or cardboard boxes for example, lego or any other materials which you have to hand. You could also colour in or paint your castle once finished.
Send me your designs via dojo. I would love to see what you draw and make! Good luck! 🙂

If you complete all of your work and are looking for something extra, feel free to do any of the following:

– Watch BBC Bitesize on TV.

– Practise and learn all the times tables.

– Play Sumdog.

– Workout with Joe Wicks:
