Good afternoon everyone, this is your last homework challenge before Christmas!! 🎅😁🎄

Monday – Red and blue groups – make a phoneme wordlist of as many “ve” words you can e.g. have, give. Can you write a short paragraph including 5 of these words?

Green group – make a wordlist of as many “ea” words you can think of e.g. “ea – cup of tea.”

Tuesday – common words and sentences.

Red and blue group – own, small, something, live, give

Green group – each, ask, year, eat

Choose a challenge to suit your child’s ability. The 3rd is the most challenging.

Good afternoon boys and girls. This week is a consolidation week where we are revising previously taught words and phonemes.

Monday – red and blue group– choose a fun way to practise your common words (pyramid spelling, rainbow spelling, fancy spelling, playdough, chalk, pasta or any other fun way you wish) – another, watch, time, windy, gave, family, how, might, learn, children, because, earth.

Green group – choose a fun way to revise your common words- had, see, has, play, no, look, him, like, made, said, big, could, out, down, off.

Tuesday – A spelling challenge has been set for you on sumdog.  It includes your spelling revision words and phonemes.  Anyone who completes the challenge will be rewarded with 200 coins.

Wednesday – Number worksheet (this will be given out on Tuesday).

Reading – every night.

Please return your book on a Friday so that it can be quarantined for 72 hours.

Monday – Red and Blue group – the phoneme “th” wordlist e.g. this, that, then making the sound “the”.  Be careful with is phoneme.  The video below explains the two different phoneme sounds that “th” makes.

Green group – the phoneme “oa” wordlist – remember our rhyme “goat in a boat”.

Tuesday – Common words – choose a fun way to practise your words – you could do rainbow spelling, pyramid spelling, UPPERCASE/lowercase, fancy spelling, foam, pasta or plasticine.

Red & Blue group – spring, sunny, those, home

Green group – make, all, came

Wednesday – Sumdog maths challenge.

Reading every night.

Tuesday – Red and Blue group – make a word list of “wa” phoneme words e.g. “watch, wall,water”.

Green group – make a word list of as many “oy” words as you can. “Toy for a boy.”

Wednesday – Red and Blue group – common words-  second, fifteen, five, fourteen – write your common words out 3 times and a sentence for each word.

Green group – common words – our,down, off – write your common words out 3 times and a sentence for each word.

Thursday – write your 2, 5 and 10 times table in your jotter – now recite them to someone in your family.

Reading – every night. Please remember to return your reading books on a Friday so that they can be quarantined.

Green group – the phoneme ‘ck’ e.g. clock, chick, stick. Make a list of as many ‘ck’ words as you can. Here are some ideas to help you. Remember to use your ‘spelling fingers’ to help you.
