How are you all today? I hope you all got on okay yesterday whilst I was in the hub.
Are you all enjoying the wonderful sunny days we’ve been having? I certainly am! We might not be able to do lots of things during Lockdown but one thing I am thankful for is the beautiful weather we’ve had recently. It has really made me smile. ☀

Common Words
Common Word Hopscotch
All you need for this fun game is some chalk and a pebble or beanbag. Go outside and create a hopscotch pattern just like the one below. Choose some of your trickier common words and write them in each square. There are lots of ways to play but one way is to throw the pebble/beanbag onto hopscotch board. Whichever word the beanbag/pebble lands on is the word to be read. Repeat until you have read all of the words at least once.
Common Word Football ⚽
This activity is super fun, especially if you are a huge football fan.
What you need: cards with sight words on them, cones (or bucket or cups or sticks), a ball and a marked goal area.
Read each of the words aloud to an adult as you dribble the ball around the cones. When you get to the end of the cones, you can take a shot.
Common Word Twister 🌪
What You Need: Twister Game, paper, pen and tape or you can create your own game – outside with some chalk.
Fill each circle with your common words. Play, laugh and learn.

Remember boys and girls, all of these activities are just suggestions. Just do what you can. Take plenty of breaks and get some fresh air.
Tomorrow is a bank holiday and Monday is an inset day so I will not be posting any more work on our class Glow page until Tuesday. Enjoy your long weekend, it is very well deserved. I hope you have a fun and relaxing few days.
