St. Andrew’s Primary
VSE
Just before Easter our school was involved in a VSE – Validated Self Evaluation. A team of professionals from across the Authority visited our school. These professionals included headteachers from other schools as well as nursery development officers, the cluster improvement lead and an education and families manager.
The team were in the school for 2 days at which time they visited classes, spoke to the management team, staff, parents and children.
They were very complimentary on the improvements the school had made since HMI. They also commented on the ethos and atmosphere of the school, the close links with the parishes, the well mannered behaviour of the pupils and recognised the hard work put in by all the staff which is reflected in our excellent results in achievement of a level.
This report was shared initially with members of the Parent Council and we are now publishing on the website in order to share with the wider school community.
Please take a moment to read through the report.
Although VSE do not grade schools in the same way as HMI we now consider ourselves very good in the 2 areas that were looked at.
