Parental Engagement Strategy
Dear Parent/Carer
The authority is in the process of revising its Parental Engagement Strategy.
As part of the review we want to accurately comment on all educational establishment’s relationship with parents.
To that end a survey has been created for parents to reflect and comment on current practice and suggest how parental engagement might be improved.
Can I encourage you to take some time to complete the survey as your thoughts are immensely valuable.
The link for the parent survey (via Survey Monkey) is:

Early Level Curriculum
The children in the Early Level have been continuing to develop friendships and are beginning to understand what a friend is. During their play, the children have been working together, laughing together and helping one another. Through a variety of learning opportunities, the children are also becoming aware of what it means to be healthy. Visits to the local Co-Op, cooking in the kitchen, and being involved in active games outdoors have helped to develop their understanding of healthy foods and exercise and how these keep you healthy. Through role modelling from practitioners and their peers, the children have also been carrying out daily hygiene routines, such as washing their hands before having snack.
Early Level Kodaly Programme
The Kodaly programme is now in it’s third week and is proving to be a success with the children. Through fun and interactive games, rhymes and songs the children have been using their voice to create sound and rhythm in various ways. Within this large group situation, children have also been learning to take turns and have been learning the difference between quiet and loud and fast and slow.
