P1/2 have been learning about the phoneme “ee”. We loved making an “ee” family to help us remember different ways to write the phoneme.

P1/2 Healthy Heroes
P1/2 performed an amazing assembly on Friday. We invited parents and carers along to watch and they were all very impressed. We were healthy heroes and taught everyone to be active, eat well and have good hygiene habits.
Learning about a Pharmacy
Today P1/2 visited a local pharmacy.We are learning about ways to keep our bodies healthy. We looked at the products, layout and features of a pharmacy and then created our own.
Dental Health with p1/2

We have been finding out about dental health this week. We have conducted experiments, sorted and organised information and took part in lots of creative play based learning. We have loved it!
Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 cooking up a storm!
Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 have loved learning about Scotland this term, but particularly enjoyed learning about Scottish food. All children prepared porridge with strawberries and bananas, using the “bridge” cutting technique. We look forward to making new dishes in our next Learning Theme using our super new skills!
Primary 1 and Primary 1/2’s Special Visitor!
Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 have been reading ‘There was a wee lassie who swallowed a midgie” and used this book as the inspiration for our Scotland topic. On Friday 19th February, the illustrator Kate McLelland came to visit us and taught us new drawing techniques. We had an amazing time!
Chinese New Year
Primary 1/2 found out about Chinese New Year. We found out that this year is the Year of the Monkey. We made Chinese lanterns and got to practice Chinese writing and using chopsticks.
Scottish Farms
After hearing one of our reading books this week, primary 1/2 asked if they could create their own farms. They worked cooperatively and developed their talking, listening and negotiating skills. Some groups also decided to incorporate some of our topic work and make these Scottish farms containing thistles, lochs and highland cattle. 
A great way to start the day!
P1/2 and P3/4 got together on Thursday and did some fantastic dancing to prepare us for the busy day ahead.
We are learning about Scotland!
Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 worked together to make Scottish porridge. We used the “bridge” knife technique to cut some bananas and Scottish strawberries for our porridge. It was delicious!
