P6 worked together in groups to come up with some exciting ideas for our new IDL topic. We decided what we wanted to find out and what we wanted to learn about. We discussed this together and wrote our ideas down to share with the rest of the class.
Primary 1 visited a Pharmacy as part of our ‘Keeping Healthy’ interdisciplinary learning theme. We found out what happens to prescriptions and saw real pharmacist working hard. Then we examined the difference between medicines you can buy in a shop and the medicines you can only get in a Pharmacy. We know medicines are dangerous and that we should never touch them without an adult.

Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 have loved learning about Scotland this term, but particularly enjoyed learning about Scottish food. All children prepared porridge with strawberries and bananas, using the “bridge” cutting technique. We look forward to making new dishes in our next Learning Theme using our super new skills!
Primary 1 had an amazing time learning about Chinese New Year! We learned about each of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac, and found out which animal represented the year we were born. This year is the “Year of the Monkey”, so we celebrated by making lucky money wallets and fabulous Chinese lanterns.
