St Ninian
The Life of Saint Ninian
Early life
Saint Ninian feast day is on the 16th of September Saint Ninian was born in Cumbria. He lived in Whithorn. When he was young he was very Clever. He was fluent in Gaelic and Latin by age 10 Saint Ninian was the first apostle of Christianity in Scotland.
Rome
Later in his life he walked 1,500 miles to Rome and it took him 6 months He stayed in Rome for 10 years and he studied to become a priest .St Ninian became the first bishop of Scotland.
Whithorn
He arrived home in 397AD.Saint Ninian went back to Whithorn and he built a monastery. The monks helped Ninian build a monastery.
Missionary work
He travelled north Scotland to spread the word God and to tell people about God. Saint Ninian died in432 and he is buried in Whithorn.

Marvellous Mathematicians
The children in Rooms 13 and 14 have been involved in an active maths topic, where they have designed a new theme park. Today they had to decide on an entrance fee and work out their profit each day for a month, taking into account any expenditure they had. This video shows how well they managed
Room 13 Rocket Launch
The boys and girls in Room 13 have been carrying out a practical investigation looking at which chemicals would cause a big enough explosion to lift a rocket off the ground. They experiemented and discovered that when you mix Vitamin C tablets with cola, you can create such an explosion.
