Letter To The Giant

Dear Mr Giant,

I am writing this letter to persuade you to come down from the mountain and have a meeting with Mayor Marsden to discuss this issue face to face.We do not want to harm you we just want to get to know you a little better because we don`t want to keep on refaring you as `The Giant`.

Furthermore,We were close to hiring a Giantoligist to solve this problem but the citizens of Thistle Mountain did not agree with the methods that he Giantoligist uses.We realise that everyone in Thistle Mountain has rights and you shouldn`t be treated differently in any possible way.

In conclusion,We have came to the conclusion that you shouldn’t be treated any differantly than anyone else and we should have a meeting and if you accullay read this letter you could possibly send us a letter back and you could send it to the Community Centre.

Your Sincerlay

Thomas Sandler

Giant

Thistle Mountain

The Hill

Dear Mr. Giant,

My name is Jennifer Cameron, I am 28 years old, I work at the school, Thistle Acadamy. I am writing this letter to you today to invite you to come to to our village and have a meeting with us to discuss our similarities instead of our differences. It would be very appreciated.

I re-assure you that you are not underthreat, down in our village you will have a very warm welcomefor only Mayor Marsdon and the Council will be there.

Mayor Marsden is a very kind man as we elected him ourselves, in addition, the Council are also very kind and warm welcoming. There will be no phisical contact but what we will do hope to work together to solve this issue.

No-one will force you to come but it would be great and no-one will force you to leave Thistle Mountain as you haven’t done any damage yet but the reason we are having this meeting with you is because we have heard rumours about you and we hope that none of them are true.

I hope to see you soon and if not i hope to hear back from you.

Kind Regards

Jennifer Cameron

Childhood Obesity

Dear Mr David Cameron, PM

I am writing this letter to discuss the growing issue of childhood obesity. The number of obese children is growing and has more than tripled in England over the past 25 years . Being obese or overweight can also lead to muscle  problems like ; musloskeltta problems , lower exteremity problems and also ankle and feet problems, but if you were to raise awareness this issue could be solved quicker, also if we were to get more excercise and healthier food chioces in school that can reduce the risk of more children becoming obese.

In addition, to this obesity not only affects you physically but also mentally and emotionally, both of which that will take a big toll on their lives. The factors associatd wuth mental health problems in obese children include ; low self esteem , body dissatifaction, eating disorders and basic teasing tha can cause stress to the adolesents. It also affects obese children emotionally and the more emotional they get the more they eat,the more they eat theshoter their life expectarcy gets.Futhermore, obesity also affects your health as much as it does physically.Obese children are more likely to be ill or to be absent from chool due to ilness.Other health risks of childhood obesity includes ; early puberty , eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, skin infections , asthma and other respitory problems.

In conclusion , I hope that you take my letter seriously and i look forward to your response to my letter.

Yours Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Olivia Ormond

playground equipment

Dear Mrs. Hagerty

I strongly believe that the children at this primary school need equipment in the playground. The children in primary seven have nothing to do when it comes to playtime and lunchtime and if theres nothing to do , how are we going to keep fit?

I understand that equipment for the yard costs alot of money , but if we could atleast try save up by having fun days like dress down day , sponsered walks , crazy hair days and maybe use the money from after school clubs like futsal , dancing , athletics , cross country anymore i may have missed. How are us children ever going to learn ow to get along with each other , learn to take turns of things we like to do and get a little more active then what we already are?

First of all the type of equipment thats appropriate for out in the yard which primary seven would like would probably be a sitting area , preferably be a few benches , skipping ropes , hula hoops , netball hoops , bouncy hoppers , football nets and badminton or tennis nets for when it’s dry outdoors and there’s no wind. I know it costs alot of money and that we wont get all of those things above but they were just a few examples of things that we would like , but it would be good to have some of those things in the playground. I’m sure everyone in primary seven would love a sitting area because alot of people just stand around doing nothing and another reason for somewhere to sit is some people like to read books , colour in , draw and sometimes just like to talk to one another so it would be if we had that.

Thank you for reading this letter and maybe one day we will have some of these things I have requested.

Your Sincerely Demi-Louise Cameron

Persuasive Letter

Dear Mrs Hagerty,
How unfair is it that the pupils of this school are clearly despondent about the lack of playground equipment that we have been provided with? Therefore,I am writing to you to contribute towards this issue.
I would like to see a wide variety of equipment added to the playground .For example bench’s,climbing, frames, football goals, basketball hoops etc.My personal opinion is that the equipment that I have just mentioned would occupy a wide variety of pupil because there is something for everyone.
Many fights have occured in the past because there is nothing to occupy pupils. This is one of the benefits that buying more equipment would have on our school. As a result, buying more equipment would surely improve our social skills .It goes without saying that it will also benefit our fitness and health while having fun at the same time.
Finally I hope that you take this letter into consideration and take an act on this issue urgently.
Yours Sincerely
Joseph McPake

Persuasive Letter Playground Equipment

Dear Mrs Hagerty,

I am writing this letter to advise you about the lack of equipment in our playground. My personal opinion is that we need more playground resources.I think we should aquire some new shiny playground equipment for the juniors and seniors.I think new playground equipment will have a good effect on our fitness and our social skills.

I believe new playground equipment will stop arguments and fights. The reason I think this is because pupils would get less bored and frustrated.I consider this as a good idea.

The type of equipment that would benifit the playground would be football goals since a number of pupils play football and there would be fewer arguments if someone scored a goal. Also, more footballs would be welcome because again there would be less arguments over a ball.In addition monkey bars they would be fun and would build up our muscles.

In conclusion,I would appreciate it if my suggestions would be noted and I recommend that you headteacher would consider them seriously.

Yours sincerely

room 13’s trip to Tesco

Today room 13 went to Tesco. We went to help St Patrick’s win the Tesco grant. If we win this grant we can spend it on playground equipment. We have no playground equipment so in my opinion this will stop the fights out in the playground. We want to get all the support we can to make our playground more enjoyable to play at playtimes.
