Room 13 children linked PE with Maths today when were estimating how many different exercises they could do in 20 seconds. They were very energetic and strangely quiet for the rest of the afternoon…
Today a lady came from Summerlee to speak to rooms 12, 13 and 14 on the dangers of alcohol. We took part in drama activities showing what would happen if we drank too much. Here is the video.
We also got to try on beer goggles and see how difficult it was to walk in a straight line and kick a ball when you’ve had too much alcohol.
The children in Rooms 12, 13 and 14 are learning all about electricity and have been carrying out various activities to make and measure electricity.
Last week, a member of the fire brigade came into school to teach us all about fire safety.

On Monday 26th room 13 went to Summerlee for a trip. We went for the full day , to learn about the victorians. We walked down and when we got there we went in to do a workshop with a lady called Elizabeth.
Today we made prayers to Saint Patrick.
Primary 6/7 have been reading “Why the Whales Came” by Michael Morpurgo and we have learned all about one of the main characters, the Birdman. We followed a step by step guide on how to draw birds and have created some brilliant pictures.
