‪Hello P7. I have created a class team on Microsoft Teams which you can access from your glow launchpad. People in our class can chat and share photos there. Alternatively you can email me at gw09macdonaldfiona11@glow.sch.uk

I would love to hear how you’re getting on.

Sumdog Contest

Well done to EL from P7 who won the whole school sumdog competition last week!

This week there is a multiplication contest with a difference. Mr Puim’s class and our class are in direct competition with each other.  So let’s make sure we smash that too!

Remember sumdog tailors your work to your own ability level so everyone will be suitably challenged at their own level.

Good luck!

Sumdog and Studyladder

Hi P7.

If you’re on Sumdog over the next wee while, look out for a Ladywell Primary School-wide competition currently running.  I believe Mr Puim’s P3 class are currently winning and I’ve told him if we beat him he owes me a coffee, so please please please do your best! ☕

Well done to EL and EG who have answered most questions this week, and CB and EG who have spent most time on Sumdog this week.

Also, please check your glow email – I have sent you login details for Studdyladder.  There are some activities on there for you to try too, if you like.  Well done to ED who has already logged in.

I’ve also sent you an email asking you to reply to me so I know you’re on glow.

If you’re chatting online with other people in our class, can you please ask them to log in to glow and reply to my email so I know that they are able to access it successfully.  All glow login details have been emailed to the parent/carer’s email adress that is held the school office.  Thanks!

Good Morning Everyone

Hi Primary 7!

I hope you are all doing well and managing to keep yourselves occupied.  Remember to be kind and helpful around the house, especially if your parents are working from home.  Also remember to take time out to do what you enjoy and relax as well as doing a bit of schoolwork.

Joe Wicks is doing a daily workout which my kids and I have been doing at 9am each morning.  I thought you might enjoy that too.  It’s so important to keep your body moving and it gives you great energy for the rest of the day.  Here is the link for Monday’s workout
and this is the link for Tuesday’s workout  – go for it!

It’s also a nice idea to keep a diary of ach day.  Write about what you did and how you are feeling. If you have a lovely notebook that you have been saving for something special – now’s the time to use it for this!

I hope you are all keeping each other company via WhatsApp/Instagram etc.  Remember to check in on each other and be kind and supportive to each other.

Hope you’re having a great day!

Mrs MacDonald 😀

Home Learning

Hello P7!

I have uploaded some resources and links that you might find useful in addition to the packs that you received at school today (Please note that everything in the pack will aso be available here).

Remember that you can also look at researching some of the other topics that you didn’t get a chance to study whilst at Ladywell. Maybe you are interested in the Ancient Egyptians, Japan or The Scottish Wars of Independence.  You could carry out some additional research about an aspect of World War II that you found particularly interesting.  Our topic for Term 4 was due to be Space, so watch out for resources still to come on that over the coming weeks.

Stay healthy and take care of yourselves.

Mrs MacDonald.
