Primary 2 and Primary 3 had a real treat today. We travelled to Wishaw library to meet David MacPhail, who is the author of the Thorfinn the Viking Stories.
We knew we were going to enjoy ourselves when he started the session by asking us to shout ‘Huzzah’ as loudly as we could in the middle of the library.
He talked to us about being an author, what has inspired him to write about Thorfinn, and read us a chapter from the latest Thorfinn book.
He even told some of us what our Viking name would be. (Look out for a very embarrassed photograph of Mrs. Bowden when she found out her name – you can ask your children…..it’s too rude to blog! )
This was a fantastic experience, which ended with us getting the chance to have a Thorfinn booked signed by David!
