MONDAY

On Monday we came into school and did what we do every morning, GIMMIE 5. This is some mental maths we complete in our jotter to get us thinking in the morning. After GIMMIE 5 we did taught writing based on a friendship recipe. We had to write what makes a good friend.

For example-50g of happiness     J

After playtime we went to assembly to create our own awards. For 15 minutes we had spelling then it was lunchtime. Once lunchtime was finished we had P.E. In literacy we were reading CH 8 of Titanic: Death on the Water.

TUESDAY

On Tuesday we did health and wellbeing with Miss Davidson we were looking at what food is healthy and unhealthy. After lunch we did our task on CH8 of our book Titanic death on the water. We had P.E. we were doing things to get a six pack! Such as sit ups and ball crunches for our Fitness topic.

WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday we were doing rounding in maths. We are rounding in tenths, hundreds and thousands. We were also doing our task on our Titanic book. We started our R.M.E topic which is Pilgrimages. We started doing our Olympic stamps. We created commemorative stamps for Olympic Events, this could be for Tokya 2020, Rio 2016 or for an (imagined) Scottish Olympics. We worked so hard on these, they look brilliant! Please see our pics below.

THURSDAY

On Thursday Mrs Dyer did metalinguistic  on CH9 on the Titanic. We finished of our rounding book from yesterday. After lunch we were creating an Olympic heroes fact file on Microsoft Word. It had to be a famous Olympic for example: Sir Chris Hoy. We are going to use this as a basis for a Taught Writing lesson.

Enjoy the September Weekend! 🙂

Love P6.
