This afternoon P4 & P5 worked together in Literacy when looking at the text we will be using in class for our modelling block. The book is called Awful Auntie and we looked together at the title, author and blurb and talked about them. We realised that the author, David Williams, is a judge on Britains Got Talent, and this was the first time that lots of the boys and girls realised he was an author too.
We discussed one of the comprehension strategies we will be using – Prior Knowledge – and the children worked well together.
We are really looking forward to reading the book and will start it this week!
