Primary 4’s Week

Primary 4 have been working very hard all week.
The boys and girls have been learning more about the Titanic and designed the ship using Word at ICT time. We chose whether we were a 1st, 2nd or 3rd class passenger and packed a suitcase with what we would take on the maiden voyage. Our wall is looking fabulous. Don’t you agree?
We are working hard on our tables and played a new game using a beach ball. It was lots of fun and helped us learn our tables.
To finish off our week, we discussed what our ambitions are and wrote about what we want to do when we are older.

Well done, primary four, you have all worked so hard this week.

Have a well deserved, relaxing weekend.

Healthy Choices in Primary 1

We sorted food into 2 groups after watching a powerpoint about Healthy and Unhealthy foods. We worked together and explained our choices to the class. We can make good choices when it comes to food now. We know what we should eat lots of and what we should keep as a treat!

Captain E. Smith

Primary four have been learning more about the Titanic this week. We’re a big fan of Captain E. Smith, and we had a big discussion about who was to blame for the sinking of the Titanic. Seven children thought that the Captain was to blame and most children thought the officers in the Marconi room were at fault.  It was a very hard decision to make.

Here are some pictures of our brilliant Captain Smith painted by the children.

Rainforest Adventure at Edinburgh Zoo

On Thursday 18th February, Primary 6a and Primary 6b visited Edinburgh Zoo as part of their Interdisciplinary Learning on the Rainforest. We had a visit from a lot of animals including a royal python, a white tree frog and a hissing cockroach (which come from Madagascar). We also got to hold and touch these animals, apart from the tree frog. It was a great and informative day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Jar Art

Primary 6a and Primary 6b were decorating empty jars for Art. We were including different media so that the jars would look good when a tealight was inserted. Our finished articles looked fantastic.
