The children in the green group have been learning about being kind and helping others. We have been discussing that some families do not have much money to buy food and we have made suggestions about how we can help. Some children have kindly donated items to our trolley.

Forest Kindergarten PM
The children and staff children had a really fun afternoon this week. The children explored really well and took part in lots of imaginative play. They were keen to partake in stick play and dig for bugs. They remembered the boundaries and stayed within them throughout the session. It was a very rainy day so we worked together to build a den with a roof that fitted us all in it.

Week 4 of PM Forest Kindergarten Session
The children participated in Week 4 of Forest Kindergarten today. They learned about fire safety and how to risk assess a fire. We enjoyed a treat of toasted marshmallows and all children had the opportunity to practise using a real flint to light the fire. They enjoyed climbing trees today and explored parts of the forest they hadn’t yet ventured to.

Back to Front Day

Forest Kindergarten morning group
The morning children had lots of fun at Forest Kindergarten today. We made a tree swing, investigated how to use the hammocks, climbed trees and discovered how to make some mud. We even used it to explore face painting! #forestkindergarten

New Family Learning Centre name!
Some of you may know there will be a new Family Learning Centre opening in Abernethyn Road in Newmains. We have been asked to consult our parents on suggestions for the new nurseries name! Please put your suggestions in the box in our nursery corridor!
