Yellow group butterfly release

The yellow group have been fortunate enough to have had five beautiful butterflies that have hatched.  We loved learning about the butterfly lifecycle and witnessing this first hand.  The children have been really enthusiastic when learning about this and have enjoyed looking after our ‘babies’.  Once our five butterflies had emerged from their cocoons we set them free in our nursery garden.  We ensured we placed them on nectar bearing flowers so that they had a food source and some of the children were keen to hold the butterflies before being released.
