The morning children had a wonderful time at Forest Kindergarten today. They climbed trees, found insects and spider’s eggs, played imaginatively with bows and arrows that they made, made traps using bungee ropes and swung in the hammocks. The children have become very familiar with their surroundings in the forest and the space they have available to play. More children are now challenging themselves to climb trees higher and expand on their imaginative play using natural resources that they find. All the children shared the responsibility of carrying resources they wanted to take today and we also had a visit from a local robin who often sits in the trees watching us play.
