This week at Forest Kindergarten, we made bird feeders as we had noticed that there wasn’t many birds that came to our forest to play. We learned that birds find it more difficult in winter to eat and that we need to help them. We learned about the bugs we found including a centipede, risk assessed our play to ensure the trees were safe for us to climb on and also stayed safe at our fire to make marshmallows for snack.
There have been some very silly dog walkers that have allowed their dogs to litter our forest, so we discussed this and left them a little message with some poop bags in the hope they will pick it up.
