One of the morning children expressed an interest in lava and was pretending the floor was lava when playing with the building blocks.  He asked to make lava and joined Gillian at the baking table to make red and yellow playdough.  He proceeded to wrap large stones in the playdiugh, pretending it was a volcano. We then used the internet to find out things about lava pools, we printed off some pictures so we could study them more closely.
