Here are some of the things the children said about the trip.

“We played on the fire engine nee, naw, nee, naw.”

“I liked the boat and the soft play, it was down lots of stairs, go backwards because it is easier.”

“I was on the bus and the train, we got two trains.”

“I liked the cars and the trains, we went on at the train station.”

“I rang the bell on the ship, we were crossing the kid on road.”

We travelled from Wishaw to Cambuslang where we had to get off the train and wait on another one to Partick.

We had to listen to instructions and stay beside an adult to keep safe.

While on the train the children observed environmental print, signs and their meanings, they were also able to identify a wide range of transport and vehicles.

We had to walk to the transport museum and walk along and cross busy roads. We used the pedestrian crossing and were able to wait till we saw the green man before we crossed.

We were very hungry after our long journey so decided to view a few modes of transport before having our lunch.

After lunch we saw trains, fire engines, bikes, ships and we also had the opportunity to explore the pelican crossing and demonstrate how to cross safely, this was our favourite.

We also explored the tall ship where we scrubbed the deck clean. We investigated the ship further and saw a hospital, kitchen, toilet and even saw a rat. We were able to ring the ship’s bell and we also climbed lots of stairs holding onto the handrails and coming down backwards to ensure we were safe. Coran was delighted that his Dad came on the trip with him. The staff were also very appreciative of his help and support.
