Summerlee Museum Trip

The children within the Green and Purple groups had discussions about castles and people who lived a long time ago.  To support this learning they were given the opportunity to explore photographs of what life looked like in years gone by.  We wanted to provide a real life experience for the children so we went to see Summerlee Museum.  There the children were able to see many examples of old transport, shops and the way people lived dating back to the 1800’s.  The children were able to travel on a real tram and look in the rooms of houses from many different eras.  We even found an outdoor toilet!  The children were able to gain a better understanding of the past and how life has changed over many years.
