Loose Parts Play!

The nursery are looking to embed ‘The Loose Parts Play Toolkit’ into the daily practice of the nursery, both indoors and outdoors.

Play with Loose Parts are about real world learning for all children.  Children need to use REAL resources in their play.

The benefits of introducing and playing with loose parts involves collaboration, sharing thinking, problem solving and decision making.  Children are physically more active and learn to negotiate, assess and manage risks.  They have opportunities to investigate, use their imagination, create, explore, discover and take part in adventurous play.  All these benefits contribute to improving children’s health and wellbeing.

We need your help to build up our resources to introduce this play to our children.
