Starting Primary

We have created this area of our blog to help us to support the children and families who will transfer from nursery to Netherton Primary School this coming session.

We encourage parents and carers  to follow us on our official School Twitter page (@NethertonPS) and to regularly check in with this area of the blog for updates.  We have also made a dedicated  Twitter page for  families of our New Primary 1 pupils @npstransition21.

If you have any further questions please email ht@netherton.n-lanark.sch.uk and we will reply to you as soon as possible.

Starting School Activities and Guides
Here are some suggested activities you may want to try at home.
Here are some materials and ideas that may help your grown ups make sure you’re ready to start school.

Story Time!

To help you get ready for school, some of our teachers have made a short video of them reading a story. Get comfy and enjoy listening to these stories!

Mrs. McCallum reads “Starting School”.

Mrs. Easton reads “The Gruffalo”.

N.B. Permission to share these videos has been kindly given by publishers during this school closure period and have been shared in line with this.

If you enjoyed these stories, you can listen to even more stories using the Storyline Online App.
