Monday 15th June

Hello boys and girls,

This week, Mrs Johnston has set another food challenge – this time to make delicious Crunchie Fudge!

The boys and girls in our school tried this a couple of weeks ago on our online learning and the results were amazing, so we know you will enjoy it too.

You will need 400g milk chocolate, 4 pack of crunches, 15g unsalted butter, a teaspoon of vanilla essence, a small tin of condensed milk.

There are two options -for best results use a slow cooker, but you can also make it using a pot too.

Please share your creations with us and enjoy your treat 🙂

 Hello boys and girls,

This week your challenge is to create puppets from recycled materials.

Mrs Johnstone, Alex and Penny demonstrate on the presentation below and we cannot wait to see your creations.

Mrs Johnston used an old milk carton.
What could you use?

There are lots of ideas on Pinterest.

Extend this learning

  • You can extend this learning by discussing the different materials used and exploring the texture of them.
  • You could allow your child to role play by putting on a puppet show, we would love to see this.
  • You could use the additional resources below to create more puppets – there are templates for stick puppets and finger puppets.
  • You could do more junk modelling and there are lots of ideas on this link.
