The month of October…

We have spent a lot of time in October practising for our Harvest Service.  Today we performed on stage.  It was fantastic!  We were excited and nervous before we performed.  All of the teachers and the boys and girls were happy and proud of the P3  performance.  Well done everybody!

We have also been doing lots of literacy work.  At reading time we are becoming more independent when completing true or false, sequencing and find it, prove it, talk about it tasks.   We also enjoy hearing stories at our listening centre and revising sounds with our phoneme tubs.  We like playing 5 a day on the computer and spelling games on the iPads.

In maths we have started our new topic of addition.  We have learned one strategy so far.  This strategy is using a number line to help us add.  Tomorrow we will be using a number square to help us.

In the afternoons we continued to practise our songs, actions and speaking parts.  We are very confident individuals.  We also created some autumn leaves using brown, orange, red and yellow paint.  We used these today at our service.  Did you spot them?

Thanks you to all of the adults and children who brought in conkers, trolleys and baskets for us to use at the service today.  We really appreciated it and they looked great on stage with us today!

Here are our last 2 weekly wonders.  Well done both of you.

Have a lovely October week!
