Gardening

Well done to everyone today who helped with planting our raised beds.  We have started a wildflower garden, sunflower area, sensory garden and some classes planted vegetables.  Thanks again to our Parent Council for their support with this.

Quiz Night

Thanks to everyone who attended our quiz night.   We all had great fun and we would like me to say a big thank you to Mrs Rusk and the Parent Council and Friends of Kirk O’Shotts groups for organising the event.

In the last two weeks we have been learning all about the human brain and why it is so important. The brain is the most important organ in the body and it helps you think and talk. In maths we have been working on Number Talks, looking at ways to make our mental maths easier. We know about number bonds, for example 60+40 = 100. We have just started the

Fairtrade Muffins

Primary 5 pupils have been celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight by making fairtrade muffins.  They decided whether to use bananas or choc chips or both and worked well in groups to follow the recipe.

Fairtrade Fortnight

We started thinking about fairtrade today by watching a video and presentation about how we can support fairtrade.  Some Primary 5 pupils then performed a short role play to highlight the importance of choosing to buy these products.  We will be building on this work during Thinking Circles this week.

Swimming Stars

Congratulations to all our Primary 5 pupils who have successfully completed their ten week swimming block at the Time Capsule.  They were presented with their certificates during assembly today.
