P4-P7 School Trip

On the 16 june p4-p7 went on a trip to Adventure Planet.  Everybody enjoyed themselves and even the teachers had a bit of fun going down the slides.  We had juice and biscuits for our snack.  Some of us bought ice cream as a treat. Rotary West Area Quiz

Today our school took part in the Rotary West Area Quiz. It was a quiz with 8 rounds of 5 questions. We enjoyed taking part in the quiz and wish Biggar Academy all the best in the next round.  We are proud that we were runners up, we all received medals and a trophy for the school.

Teddy Bears Picnic

On Wednesday, Primary 1 and 2 held a Teddy Bears Picnic to raise money for St Andrews Hospice. They invited their parents along and everyone had a lovely afternoon.

Infant Quiz

The Enterprise team successfully organised a quiz afternoon for our infants to raise money for our school funds. The infants had to work together in teams to answer maths, literacy and general knowledge questions. Greg was the quiz master and did a fantastic job. All the children had a great time and congratulations to the winning team – The 5 Amigos!  

Airdrie School Cup

Last week the p6/7s went to the Airdrie Schools Cup.  We were competing to win the Fair Play Award. We worked hard to play as a team. Half way through it got called off because of the rain. The Visit from Ziggy and Speeding Ted

We had some special visitors called Speeding Ted and Ziggy. The JRSO’s showed room 1 and 2 how to be safe on the roads and near construction. The Fire Brigade

  The fire brigade came and taught us about secondary fires today. They where telling us about the danger of secondary fires. They said a lit cigarette can set fire to a sofa in one minute we all found it fascinating. The firemen asked us to spread awareness of secondary fires, They asked us not to do prank calls because there could be a more important emergency.
