Tickets are on sale at the school office for our annual Burns Night celebrations on the 21st of January. P6 have been working hard to plan a night of good food and entertainment. We look forward to seeing you there.

A bit chilly in P4/5
We started our new topic today all about the frozen planet. We learned about the polar regions, Arctic and Antarctica. We were able to identify them on maps and research some facts about them.
The Arctic is a frozen ocean surrounded by land and Antarctica is a frozen land surrounded by ocean. We are looking forward to finding out more about this.
Outstanding Volcanoes!!!!!
P5 have started a new topic about volcanoes . We have been researching different kinds of volcanoes and we wrote an introduction for our project. We watched a video about volcanoes erupting and it was very interesting. We then moved onto art to make our front covers for our volcano project. We made the front cover by drawing a volcano and then using watery paint and straws to blow the paint. This made it look like the volcano was erupting. We are excited to learn more about our new topic!

Another Busy Afternoon!
The boys and girls in our nursery are beginning a new topic all about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Here are the afternoon children busy at work and play!
Busy Bees
Today p1a were listening for information to find out about what a honey bee looks like. They found out that their bodies are divided into 3 parts, they have 4 wings, 5 eyes and 6 legs. The children then used their knowledge to draw some accurate looking bee pictures.
