Happy Easter
A big thank you to all parents, carers and friends of the school who attended our Easter Service this morning. The children performed and behaved beautifully and were a credit to you. We also raised £62.75 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and will be sending a cheque to them today. Well done to everyone and have a very Happy Easter.
Charlotte’s Web
P4/5 and P5 have had great fun working together on our mini Easter topic, Charlotte’s Web. We have looked at the importance of friendship and trust then looked at elements of sacrifice both Jesus and Charlotte made.
Here we are creating poems about being a good friend.
P4/5 are published Authors!
We designed our own books! We chose our own audience and wrote our own imaginative stories! We edited our first drafts then added illustrations, front cover and a blurb! We hope our audiences enjoyed reading them as much as we did creating them.

Primary 4 – Traidcraft Snack Attack Challenge 2016
We had great fun working in our groups on the Fairtrade Snack Attack Challenge 2016. We had to create a new Fairtrade product, design new packaging, write a list of the ingredients, create a logo, write a slogan and finally create a TV advert to promote our product. The Fairtrade committee will meet after the Easter break to choose the winning entry. Details will be announced on the blog.
Fairtrade Coffee Morning Update
The recent Fairtrade coffee morning organised by the Fairtrade Committee and the Parent Council raised the fantastic sum of £76.06. The proceeds will be sent to the Fairtrade Foundation to help Fairtrade farmers and producers get a better deal for their goods and services.
