P4 went out to do some more work in the garden. Our runner beans, courgettes and cabbages are doing well and we planted out some tomato plants.

As part of our Native American topic, today we planned and built 3D teepees. We had to work together in teams to meet a design challenge then pick from a variety of materials to build our teepees!
We had a great day at the safari park.
The highlight was the monkey jumping on the bus!
P4/5 had a good day at sports day today, even the rain didn’t dampen our spirits!
P4 made some excellent carnival inspired bird masks today. We plan to wear them at our open event on the 13th June.

P4 are learning about the Muslim festival of Ramadan. The boys and girls learned that some women decorate their hands and feet with intricate patterns called henna or mendhi to celebrate the end of the holy month. We had a go at creating our own henna patterns.

Some of the boys and girls helped to plant courgettes, cabbages and runner beans in our vegetable beds. We hope our crops are are good as last year!
P4 designed their own birds of the future, complete with suitable adaptations to live in a world different from the present. Some had the ability to live underwater, some could glow in the dark and others were adapted to eat litter! What an imaginative class!
