P7 Graduation 19 June 2015

We are looking forward to our special P7 event this afternoon. The graduation will start at 1.30pm. Please line up at the left door main entrance and we will get you in to the hall as soon as we have cleared up from lunch time.

Tea and coffee will be available on arrival.

Our P7 pupils will impress you today with their talents in singing, acting and dancing.

We will then present all pupils with a certificate of achievement and the six school cups. All school staff have voted for the pupils they feel are worthy of receiving the school cups. We will announce the winners of our school cups for the most successful learner, effective contributor, responsible citizen, confident individual, outstanding sports person and exceptional team player.  There will be a very special presentation from the Robert Burns World Federation to our 3 fantastic artists who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in a national competition.

Our infant choir will finish off the graduation with 3 songs before the P7 graduates join their family in the hall for light refreshments and photos. We had hoped to finish the graduation in the community garden but the Met office forecast today is cloudy with light showers 🙁

We look forward to seeing you this afternoon on this memorable occasion!

P7 Leavers’ Party 11 June 2015

Our P7 pupils spent a few lovely hours together tonight dancing, chatting and enjoying each others’ company.  One of our parents, Mr McClean, was the DJ for the night. Here are some snaps of the pupils dancing the night away. Mr McClean was very impressed with  their dance routines. Ms Scott and Ms Brunton have taught them well!

Alex Graham Caterers provided burgers, chips and ice cream and pupils were given drinks of their choice.

Thank you to Ms Brunton, Mrs Charles, Mrs Patrick and Mrs Martin for their help in preparing for the event and supporting it tonight.

The pupils finished the night with a group photo and some party bags. Here is the Class of 2015!

P7 Leavers’ Events June 2015

P7 Leavers’ Beach Party, The Knights of St Columba

Thursday 11 June, 7-9pm

Our P7 leavers’ beach party will take place in the main hall of Knights of St Columba and will run from 7-9pm. One of our parents, Mr McClean will be DJ and Alex Graham Caterers will be provide burgers, wedges and ice cream The school will provide drinks.

This event is informal, and the focus is very much on the children relaxing and having fun together.

We have planned this special event to ensure that parents/carers do not have any additional expense. We also want to create an experience that includes everyone and therefore, we respectfully ask that children come dressed casually, not formally. We discourage the hiring of limousines for the same reasons.

Each pupil must be collected by an adult from the venue at 9.00pm.

P7 Graduation Ceremony, Glenmanor Primary School Hall

Friday 19 June, 1.30pm-2.30pm

We would like to invite our P7 parents and carers to join us for this very special event. Doors will open from 1pm and the graduation will begin at 1.30pm.

P7 pupils have planned a very ambitious modern programme to show off their talents including singing, acting and dancing. There are also a few surprises too.

Our invited guests will then present the school cups in recognition of outstanding achievement in 6 categories – Effective Contributor, Confident Individual, Responsible Citizen, Successful Learner, Outstanding Sports Person and Exceptional Team Player. All members of staff have voted to select the recipients of each school cup.

The graduation will last until approximately 2.30pm when our infant choir will sing and light refreshments and snacks will be served in our community garden, weather permitting.

Summer Service, Glenmanor Primary School Hall

Wednesday 24 June, 9.30-10.30am

All parents and carers are invited to come together to share school achievements and say farewell to our Primary 7 pupils. Our school chaplain, Mark McKeown, will talk about the theme of “New Beginnings”. We are delighted that some former pupils will be performing with their band ‘Midnight Sketch’ at the service.

We hope you will be able to join us for these events. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting events during the course of this year and we wish our P7 pupils the best of luck.

P7 Football Achievements

Here are three out of four of our P7 pupils who have earned a coveted place at specialist secondary schools that will develop their football skills and ability.

Jonathan, Callum and Cameron will attend Braidhurst High School (SFA School of Football) and Dane will attend St Ninian’s High School (Celtic Youth Academy).

We are all delighted that you have all been given such a fantastic opportunity to develop your talent in football and we wish you well for the future.
