So far, we have had some fantastic personal choice topics about famous Scots.
From posters to booklets to Powerpoint Presentations. I cannot wait to see some more Primary 4!

Today, we worked with a partner to start a keynote presentation using the i-pads about the famous Scottish artist and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We practised how to insert text and images to our presentations and also how to add cool effects! We can’t wait to finish them!
Today, Primary 4 celebrated the life of Robert Burns by learning to recite two verses of his famous poem, “To a Mouse” off by heart.
The children added fabulous expression to their voices and afterwards, completed a Metalinguistics task investigating some old Scottish words such as ‘sleekit.’
Great enthusiasm P4!
Primary 4 children have been working on their drawing skills and the skill of blending using chalk pastels. We used a picture of the famous Eilean Donan castle to help us make our work look realistic.
Some of the relatives we remembered at our assembly this morning.

Thank you to the children who have managed to bring in photos and information about relatives who fought in the wars of the past. If you would still like your relative to be included in our Remembrance Day Powerpoint Presentation, please pass your photo and information to the school office no later that Thursday the 10th of November. Thanks.
Parents, carers and friends of Glenmanor,
We are looking for photos of relatives who you would like to be remembered for their contributions to the wars of the past in our memorial service this year. If you have any photos of these friends or relatives, please ask your child to pass them to Miss O’Neill or simply drop the photo into the school office with your name and number attached so we can take a copy and return the original to you. Their pictures and any facts about them will be included in a Powerpoint presentation during our Remembrance Day assembly. Thanks in advance, Miss O’Neill.
Primary 5/6 were in the garden clearing the vegetable beds and when we were finished, the pupils found garden canes. They came rushing over to me and asked if they could build a Tipi; this was a house that the pupil’s had been learning about during our Native American topic.
It was great to see the enthusiasm and determination, but also to hear them discuss the design and how they were going to build it. They tried several ways to keep it up and after a few attempts, they managed to built the structure with the correct shape and made the space larger so that they could fit one of them inside. As you can see from their faces, the team effort paid off. A very proud teacher and a very creative class: Well Done P5/6!

The boys and girls have been working co-operatively in groups to research different time periods during the Egyptian era to make fact files. They will then use these to create a chronological class timeline. (That means putting the events in time order!)
