Today in maths, the boys and girls created Venn diagrams using hoola hoops and Pokemon cards. We sorted them into categories such as Fire Pokemon, Pokemon with a tail, or both! We are now confident in how to sort and categorise.

This week P1 were exploring different ways to add to 4 and 5.

The boys and girls were working hard today to identify lines of symmetry in shapes and pictures. We learned than some shapes have more than one line of symmetry while others have none at all!
P2 had great fun preparing for the ‘Big Maths, Beat That’ challenge before quickly focusing on their ‘Learn Its’ I was very impressed with the determination and concentration well done everyone.
 
  
  
  
 
The children in the nursery were very eager to take on the role of a Fire Fighter and participate in the “5 Little Fire Fighters ,standing in a row ” song. They had so much fun painting pieces of cardboard red to make a super fire engine.
 
  
  
  
 
Another successful week! All of the children beat their previous score or got full marks in a shorter space of time.
Primary 4 were focusing on forming fact families and learning about the commutative aspect of addition and the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction.
