Little Fire Fighters !
The children in the nursery were very eager to take on the role of a Fire Fighter and participate in the “5 Little Fire Fighters ,standing in a row ” song. They had so much fun painting pieces of cardboard red to make a super fire engine.
Feeling Festive!
P1 carried out some market research today to help them to decide on the flavours to use for the chocolate bars they are going to make for the Christmas fair. The most popular choices were milk chocolate and mint chocolate.
They also made a start on making tree decorations. I think they look good enough to pass quality control!
P4 Super Skulls
Today, we began our Human Body topic with some very effective Day of the Dead skull artwork.
Fireworks Art in P2
P2 had great fun printing fireworks today with straws
Fun Halloween Activities !
This years Halloween celebration was another great success with the children in the nursery enjoying participating in a range of activities. They learnt silly songs and rhymes and they did a great job decorating bats and making ” footprints” to produce spooky ghosts ! The children had the opportunity to dress up if they wished to join their friends at the party. Everyone had a fantastic time dancing , playing games and “dooking for apples”.
Drama Time !
The children in the nursery had so much fun using the dressing up clothes to take on the role of the characters from ” Little Red Riding Hood” to dramatise and re-tell the story without using the book. The teachers were so impressed at how well the children could remember all the words from the story ! Great work everyone !
The Big Bad Wolf !
The boys and girls in the nursery did a fantastic job making the furry character from the book topic ” Little Red Riding Hood ” . He stands very proudly in the nursery corridor for all the children , parents and carers to see .
