The Glenmanor Choir had a great time singing Christmas carols in the St Enoch Centre today in aid of Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charity. We were lucky enough to be treated to a McDonald’s after it!

Glenmanor Choir kicked off their week of festivities with some Carol singing at the Co-Op followed by the joint Community Service in Moodiesburn Church. We would like to thank both the Co-Op and the church for the warm welcome and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
P4 did some research this afternoon on the lungs. This is in preparation for learning how to write an explanation text tomorrow.
Today, Primary 4 found out all about sugar.
We watched an informative video which told us all about the affect sugar can have on our bodies and learned that growing children should have no more than 16 grams of sugar per day. We thought back to what we had eaten over the past 24 hours and were surprised to discover that many of us were over that limit! Take a look at some of your favourite treats and read the sugar content – you may get a shock!
We are planning an exciting event for Term 3 in the Food and Fairtrade Leadership Group. Here’s a sneak peek of some upcycled headresses to get your curiosity brewing!
P4 helped Paula from the Hidden Gardens to tidy parts of the garden today. Everyone showed perseverance and determination to get the job done!
Some of the relatives we remembered at our assembly this morning.

Today, we began our Human Body topic with some very effective Day of the Dead skull artwork.
Thank you to the children who have managed to bring in photos and information about relatives who fought in the wars of the past. If you would still like your relative to be included in our Remembrance Day Powerpoint Presentation, please pass your photo and information to the school office no later that Thursday the 10th of November. Thanks.
Today, the boys and girls researched and discussed possible crafts to make and sell at the Christmas Fayre at the end of November. Tomorrow in class, we will settle on which idea to go with and begin making, pricing and advertising for the big day!
