Today we learned about a controversial issue: “Should wolves be reintroduced into the Scottish Highlands?” We researched both sides of the argument and created our own pieces of persuasive writing on the subject. We also published our writing using the class iPads. What do you think about bringing wolves back to Scotland?
P5 and P5/6 took part in their first ‘Relax Kids’ workshop today where we focused on the power of positive thinking. We all came away with a positive affirmation about ourselves to think about this week. We can’t wait till next Monday now!
Patrick – “My affirmation was, I am awesome!”
Johnathon – “I am special”
Peyton – “Mine was, I am unique.”
During Golden Time today, we used up the left over paint from the open morning to make these amazing Africa outlines using straws to blow the paint!
What do you think of our completed Tribal Masks? Aren’t they fantastic! We thought about our use of colour, shape and pattern when making our designs.
Here we are working on our Bilateral Integration as part of our P.E. It helps us to co-ordinate our bodies and improves our spatial awareness. This activity is called, ‘Body Taps.’
Today we created plans to make African Tribal inspired masks. We can’t wait for our parents and guardians to help us make our masks at the open event this Friday morning!

Today we took part in the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch. We got our waterproofs and wellies on and headed out to the garden to sit and look and listen for the different species of birds that live in our area. Stay tuned for the results of our survey!
We were inspired by the work of African artist, Shake Makelele and created work using similar mediums. Do you like our traditional silhouette pictures?
